Certain words have been frequently discussed lately, at home and on the news. “Virus” and “germ” are mentioned frequently. Miss Owl was wondering how doctors knew what a virus was, and this opened a discussion about the microscope. Her experience with the junior microscope helped introduce her to this tiny world. Of course, it would take an electron microscope to see a virus, but she can learn the basic idea.
This is called the “ultimate kids microscope” for good reasons. It is a real compound microscope. There is are EZ focus knobs for fine-tuning. It has 2-in-1 top and bottom LED Lighting for slides or solid objects. The product includes “The Amazing Microscope Adventures” experiment cards with ideas to get started.
Materials are included so children may prepare and examine their own slides. Miss Owl wanted to see what one of her hairs looked like when magnified. What a surprise!
Three AA batteries are included in the microscope product contents, and so it can be used anywhere — even outdoors. What is so nice about using a microscope outdoors is that grass, leaves, dead bugs, and other nature items do not have to be dragged inside the house for observation.
It is easy to switch magnification levels and see how specimens look under different lenses. The lenses are high-grade precision glass optics for clear viewing
