Digraphs are usually taught after all the letter and vowel sounds. This is usually towards the end of the first semester of grade one. However, as teachers all know, repetition helps children retain learning.

The freebie is located in our free eMembers area. You may join for free here, and log in at this link. Each eMember decides on his or her own password and has an individual dashboard.

There are ISNs (interactive student notebooks) or foldables, read the room activities, and letter-sized teaching posters in the PDF. When children are active learners it does help reinforce their knowledge. These activities may be placed in centers after an introduction for students.

The page has word answers that could be copied on the flaps prior to gluing (see pocket cart cards for answers). Children should put only a drop of glue on the middle of the back of cut apart words.  Place glue side down on notebook page. Emergent readers could just write th on the back of the flaps, or on the notebook paper under the flap, if that seems best to the teacher.
