Rocky and Tiger is a historical and modern fiction realistic story for children featuring twin girls age seven. Grandpa and Grandma care for the girls for a week while their parents are on a cruise. Grandpa has quite a sense of humor. Grandma plays along to help with a bedtime behavior plan for the unaware girls – storytelling gains their cooperation. The first night they try to convince the grandparents they may stay up late, but once Grandpa begins telling the story, all is well each evening. One night the girls get in bed so quickly they take sand from the playground along, but Grandma stops them and vacuums the sand from the bed. Everything works out during the week, including day trips on the ferry in Puget Sound and other adventures.
